Attention Birthday Kiss fans: While TBK may be no more, Ben’s erstwhile pop group The Lodger have just released their first new song since 2010. It’s as ace as indiepop can get, but what else would you expect from one of the finest bands of the last 10 years? Listen to/download “Fast” over at The Lodger’s bandcamp. You heard it here first, kiddos. <3

Exciting news: we will be selling an extremely limited number (only 4 left at the time of writing) of London-based Ides’ gorgeous, haunting four-song cassette, Songs About Love/Hate, out (and since sold out) originally on UK label Reeks of Effort. Listen to “Better” above, stream the whole thing HERE, and order it at the Death Party Supplies Store. It’s $5 and FREE SHIPPING!

FYI Ides is the solo project of Joanna Gruesome frontwoman and ex-Evans the Death bassist Lan McArdle, who aside from being exceptionally talented is also a darling friend of mine.

the always excellent and on-point skatterbrain shows The Birthday Kiss some much-deserved love!
